Re: Error : not connected

Solved.

You need to flash the old firmware version as described in the document https://goo.gl/3Um9aY
The 4 lines are static all the time while the zip is uploading to the gimbal.
When the update is finished then shutdown your gimbal. If you can't shutdown with the button then extract the batteries ...
Now start the gimbal in software upgrade mode another time, connect your smartphone with the gimbal manually (go to Bluetooth devices and select it). Then start the proview app and select your device and automatically the app detect that you're version is older than the newest and it start to upgrade the gimbal.
When the process ends, the gimbal shuts down and the app shows the message to press the 'okey' button. Press it, start manually the gimbal pressing the button less than 8 seconds and the motor run well another time.
And when the app starts and you select manually the proview device all works perfectly another time...

Re: Error : not connected

Try to uninstall the app and then reinstall it. Or you try it with another smartphone (a friend, family,...) You need it only 2-3 minutes to force to upgrade the gimbal (the newest version is from the 16 or 17 of May)

Re: Error : not connected

Sorry but I update the gimbal as I described... I don't know how to help you.
First I'll tried will be close the app (if it's necessary, go to settings, applications and force to close it), then try to start the gimbal pressing 8 seconds and select in Bluetooth devices the "proview s3". Now start the app and select the "proview s3" and, if you are lucky, maybe the app detect it and upgrade it.
The technicians are lost in the time....

Re: Error : not connected

I got the same issue than johntsk. I'm not able to make it work. I tried to flash the old firmware as you described in the document, everything went alright till I try to upload it through nRF Toolbox app but the issue comes out when you press "Select Device" and then it  doesn't find the smartphone. I'll see if I can do something else, like trying other smartphone but I don't think it will work anyway. I guess the only solution is waiting till they release another update.

Re: Error : not connected

I have the same problem. also after updating the BT firmware as described with nRF tool.

About every 10th time it tries to update the firmware (in FW update mode) but fails after 2-4%...
When turning it on normally it gets stuck and can only be turned off by removing the batteries. In update mode it constantly shows the "select device" window.... tried it with 3 different (android) phones and one tablet...

any ideas appreciated....

Re: Error : not connected

The new comment on Facebook "You can update again?”
I think that exist a new version of proview software to solve the issue.
